Tiger Airway, First Encounter

My first encounter with Tiger wasnt very good.. even till now i have fears...
  • Monday Night: Book Flight thro online
  • Tuesday evening: Tiger informed thro email that departure date has changed to 10th due to operational reasons
  • Wednesday evening: Tiger send another email to inform system error. Departure date will be as booked.

Emails are as follow:

1.) Dear JACKSON,

For operational reasons, some changes have been made to our flight schedule. As a result, your reservation, XXX, has been affected and the departure time of your Tiger Airways flights on this booking reference have changed. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. We wish to reassure you that we have endeavoured to minimise this disruption to our best efforts.

2.) Dear Tiger Airways Passenger,

Due to an error with our booking system, your booking to/from Bangkok on flight TR108 or TR109 may have been changed incorrectly. However, we wish to reassure you that your original booking on those flights will be reinstated. We are working hard to fix the issue and resend your confirmed itinerary soon.

To make it worst, the hotline provided by Tiger was a dead line. Getting it retrieved is almost impossible as i have tried at least 50 calls just to get one. Once connected, i was left waiting and listening to its music and its praise of best budget airline for 50 mins. No operator to pick up my call yet.... That really sucks. I wonder how SG is going to achieve good service award with such a service from the best budget airline...

So what will happen next? I really have no idea... I have fears if they keep changing my date and crash with my ICT on 11th. I pray not.

Though all these happen, I am fortunate to have great service provided by Wendy Guest House. Her understanding has enabled me to book my room for 4 nights (just in case, Tiger make changes to 10th again) and has the ability to switch to 3 nights on arrival. Good service!! I hope this continues during my stay.

So for now, i have booked my flight and my accommodation. Bangkok here we come!! Haaa though still early to say, my gf and i were anxious and excited !!
