Relation between Liver and Stomach/Intestine??

Just came back with Mum from hospital with all the tests done. Mum was too worried that she misunderstood the process. All the tests were done at the same time, not once in morning and in noon.

I am lost with the explanation given from the Nurse. She said the Doc had removed a harmful "pimple" from Mum's big intestine and there's some issue with veins of Mum's throat.

My first doubt was, "Whats the relation with all these on my Mum's liver?". Doesn't make any sense. Asked the nurse and she arrowed back to Doc, whom was not available. So in the end, we can only wait for the next appt for the reasoning.

2nd doubt: Nurse said there will be medication for her veins. However, the medication given to her was only for her high blood pressure. Though the pharmacy states this med is for many problems, such as for liver...etc, it still doesn't relate any to the vein prob!!

From the report, the pharmacy was right on his prescription. Though he did state that its for liver, high blood pressure.. etc, its still not for the vein. Kay. As long as med prescribed is correct, I m fine with it!

Nevertheless, Mum's health is still my final concern =) At least, she feel better now physically and emotionally.
Next appointment on end April. I guess it should be fine =)

P.S: I must thanks all my friends out there giving me support and concerns. Thanks!

It has been a long fight since end of last year. Mum was diagnosed with liver problem. Till now, we have no idea of the actual problem.

First appointment was dragged due to my wedding, while 2nd was due to CNY. She was afraid of damping the moods of these events. Sigh.

1st appointment was more of a blood test. And today's the 2nd.... One that all of us are worried...

She will be having Gastroscopy in the morning and Colonoscopy in the noon/evening. These tests should be able to tell us the seriousness of her situation.

I m going off now to accompany her.

Today is the end of CNY holiday for me. Today is also the day my uni friends and i gather.
Thanks to Nelson for booking Aquamarine at Marina Mandarin for lunch. Not that bad, i supposed!! At least he never used my name for blames! Lol.
Pool was fun, though i have no clues on it. It was our first time playing together. Alot of rusty experts among us. Hmmm... seems like pool can be a good way to gather as well!!

Movie Next!! Little Big Soldier!!
It seems like Jacky movies are getting more dramatic than his usual action pack movies. This is my first time watching Lee Hom in action. Not that bad. Its a waste that i never hear him sing for this movie.
Overall: Nice =)

Last stop: My house =)
Dinner was prep by my family. Today no curry as aunt was sick. Mum told me that most of the food was cooked by my sis in law. Thanks!

The answer is very simple. Its disappointing.

Reason one: Felt like any normal day to me...
This year i m not excited at all. Neither i rem its CNY. I wonder whether its due to working pace for this month or is it due to my age...

Reason two: Disappointment with people
CNY gave me another opportunity to look back at one's character. It reminds me of the past. I m utterly disgusted bout their actions. A leopard, regardless of status, can never change its spots! My judgment, after all these years, still proven to be true. Maybe its time to return them the "flavour".
I wish i could, but its just not me.

Kay. Enough of the listing.
I just hope the rest of my CNY will be better.
P.S: Beauty is in the eye of beholder. What about one's character?

Golden Fried Meat Ball for CNY 2010 Gathering

Ingredients
1.) Minced Meat - 200g ($3)
2.) Carrot - 1 (A packet of 3 cost $1)
3.) Red Onion - 1 (A packet of roughly 4-5 cost $1)
4.) Water Chestnuts - 10 (A packet of 15-18 cost $1.30)
5.) Sotong Paste - 1 packet ($6.80)
6.) Egg - 1
7.) Soy Sauce - 4 to 5 tablespoon
8.) Corn Flour - 1 tablespoon

Steps
1.) Remove the skin of carrot, red onion and water chestnuts. Cut them into smaller pieces.
2.) Blend each of them. P.S: Squeeze off the excess water from the blended water chestnuts.
3.) Mix the meat, sotong paste, blended carrot, red onion and water chestnuts.
4.) In the meantime of mixing, add 1 egg, 4-5 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of corn flour. Mix them well.
5.) Leave the mix for 30 mins for marinate
6.) Ready to fry! Warn the oil to boiling temp.
7.) Balls to Fry! P.S: Small fire during frying

I finally have time to write my blog... Its been 3 long days since friday...

Theres up, theres down... Whats up then? Yeah my gf had found her gown and my suit. Its quite fast. Less than an hour. However we took few days to get my shirt, pants, tie and shoes. No shoes found for gf yet... So one more thing to handle...

And whats down? Theres a friend i long for to witness this event of mine. Due to unforeseen event, he wont be able to attend my solemnisation. Its quite sad for me. Hes a buddy i not only call in camp, hes also one of my good pals in life. Hes also one of the main role involved in my love life =) Yes is u, Jason...

Let me tell u this Jason. U are irreplaceable!! Ur sms breaks our heart! How can u say bout replacing u!! Sigh... U are part of our love life u know. We really hope u can come down to witness this event... Sigh.

Promise me. Dun miss my next major one, my customary!!

Vivocity Fireworks

Went to Vivocity yesterday to grab some snaps on fireworks. It was their 3rd anniversary celebration. It was abit of disappointment for all of us there. It was barricaded. Only VIPs are allowed to have a clearer view. Last yr was totally open to public!

Nevertheless, i did enjoy my shoot =) It was my first time shooting fireworks! It was my first to shoot with few photographers as well. LL, Hx, Sei Heng and gang and my gf were there =)

Learned a few things on shooting fireworks (I believed u can find this on internet)

1,) ISO 100 - 200
2.) f8 - f16
3.) Exposure roughly 2-3 seconds
4.) Infinity Focus
5.) Disable reduce noise

Roughly thats the basic settings. All thanks to Sei Heng and his friend who taught me all these! Hopefully more to come! Wanna learn more with them!!

Crafty Sunday

Since yesterday, my mind has been thinking of the heart shaped filter. Determined to finish it today!
After few trials, this is the exact specifications =)

1.) Diameter - 7cm
2.) Circumference - 21.5cm (its best to have 23cm due to paper thickness)
3.) Height - 5cm
4.) MF/AF control - 1.5 cm away from the center. Width 1.5cm, Height 2.5cm.
5.) Heart shape 2cm by 2cm

With these measurements, I have create my own heart shaped filter!!
I tried taking some pics of the Highway lights from my kitchen window. It turns out to be "okie".
Seems to me, somethings are wrong. Have to verify further with more photo taking.
Thursday will be the day!! Night i mean =)

Busy Saturday

Yes, i m alone again, and, yeah, its a Saturday again. Dear went back to malaysia with her parents.. .again. Nevertheless, I m still busy =)

After all the hype, I finally decided to get a copy of Assassin Creed II. This should be (MUST BE!!) the last game i getting for this year. lol. No more spending!!

Gaming time! Went to shang house for WE 2010! Won a few Cups and unlock few classic teams. Though he has tons of craps (Where does Pato stay? - Bukit Batoh!!) and complains, its damn fun playing with him =) Definitely tons better than playing with unknown online pple!! Hopefully we can play more often. Hmm maybe we can org a gaming day on L4D or MW2 with the rest!

Roughly 630pm I left his house to Town for some test shot =) It was fun!! I even built a filter (based on Sei Heng rec link) to have a custom shape for my bokeh! However it failed terribly. As the hole is too big, it create a fish eye effect. Dun uds why...

Fortunately, i saw someone with such filter on his lens!! Without hesitation, I asked him for tips and technique. I m thankful as he showed me and lent me his filter for one shot. His holder wasnt custom make. it cost him 70 bucks! Nooooooo....

I doubt i will get such filter holder since i know the problem of my current filter - hole too big. Going to remake soon! More shots coming soon!!

Makeover: Photography & Models

It seems that "makeover" is necessary for photography. Been browsing website / galleries of some photographers found in some forums. Found one of them providing picture makeover/touchup service. It showed the before and after effect picture. I was quite surprised though.

All along, i have this thinking that photos posted are "fresh", without additional editing. I was wrong. Those "whao" photos I have seen was actually edited.

I tried some basic makeover on one of my photos and it proved to be, somehow true =)

The next surprising thing was on this model. Shes a famous freelance model in SG, i would say. Was engaged in many freelance photography shoots in the forum. She was on magazine as well. Shes quite pretty in all the shoots i have seen.

Curious about her, I went to search for her personal blog and found lots of her photos taken using mobile phone and cameras. One of them was shocking! It was the "original" her.

What a big difference! She reminds me of the Jacky Wu show, showcasing ladies after and before makeup. Gosh. She doesn't look good, IMO.

As the aperture size is bigger for this lens, the DOF (Depth of Field) is shallower. This resultant in my background to be more "out-of-focus". In a way, it further emphasizes the focus of the picture as well =)

Unusual Saturday

Saturday. A day I m always not free. A day all my friends complained on me. A day i always long for. This day i always have dear by my side. Yet, yes today, i m all alone. She went back to malaysia with her parents for her grandpa anniversary.

Weird. I do long for this "freedom" saturday. However it seems not to be.

This day. Did the usual stuff like i was single. Played my games, watched a korean comedy show, watched SG vs Thai... Something is amiss. Nobody bothered me when i was playing my games. Nobody laughed crazily with me while watching the comedy. Nobody nag at me while watching soccer, neither shared the lost of sg to thai...

2009 Bday Cupcakes by Liz

"Jack Hapi Bday" with my mini face and cake. Yes!! These are cupcakes. I didnt expect that from liz. Furthermore, her right hand is still on cast. Can imagine she required double the effort to do the bakery. Really appreciate it =) Over so many years, this is one of the best present i ever received from her.

First time i rcved handmade cupcakes as present! Thanks!! Loved it very much.

I have also received photos from liz. These photos were taken on 21st Aug 1999... TEN YEARS AGO!!! Gosh!!! Looking at it brings me back to that moment of happiness =)
Too bad. I do not own any scanner. MIGHT post it one day... Haaa too retro le =)

Longest Bday Cel 2009

This year is very different from the past. I never expect my bday celebration to be so long. All thanks to gf =)

On Saturday morning, dear gave me a surprise at her house. She cooked cha soba and gyoza. No wrong, she really cooked it herself =) She even went to pick the required plate, chopsticks etc for this day. Unexpected, esp from her. Oh yeah, she and her sis bought me 3 tees!! Gosh!! Thats my gf... one present is never enough... I am happy and heartbroken as well... dear u spent way too much le wor!! Nevertheless, dear, THANKS!!

Thats not the end!! We went to catch "Up" in the evening. Its really good, IMO. I was touched. Somehow i feel its not totally suitable for children, esp the first 15 mins. I would rec this show to all my friends!!

Next day, National Day, is also our 4 years 2 months anniversary! lol. We plan to celebrate our bdays, anniversary and National day! Went to Sentosa for "Song of the Sea". That will be in the evening. In the meantime, we went to some places that we missed in past visits.

While on the beach, dear stopped and called me. "Is that adrain?" Haaa yes he is!! I took a pic with him =) My first encounter with a star on this beach. Haaa sorry to disturb him and thanks for taking pic with me =) Went to the hanging bridge to take more pics and enjoy the wind, sea and sun. Weird. Today seems to be "Indian" and "Mainlanders" day. Saw plenty of them.

Next we went to have fun at sky ride and ludge. Never knew dear was so afraid taking sky ride. Can see from the pic on how she grabs my tee!! Another new sky ludge pic into our collection! No pic to show as no scanner =(

"The Flying Trapeze" was the last we had before the main event. Dear, having frights from the ride, wasn't ready to do this. Left me... Paid 10 bucks for 1 try. It wasnt that difficult putting my legs on the bar. Instead the difficulty for me was releasing my hands and swing upside down. Though i did it in the end, it wasn't that good... Overall: Fun!! Exp as well...

Our main event!! Song of the sea!! Somehow i wasnt very impressed. Its not that bad, not that fantastic. The story was bored. The music was okay. The effects were not that bad. At least got mini fireworks. Quite liked the effects during the end though. IMO, its worth to have at least one experience with ur loved ones. Great memories!

Surprise again! Last sunday, while i was bathing, dear prep a small cake and left it on the desk waiting for me. It was banana choc cake. Loved it very much, esp with the bananas. Wasnt too sweet. Whole family loved it as well =)

This year's celebration was way longer than any past years. All thanks to Dear. Love you =)

I rem ming always said these words in camp, "Rush to Wait, Wait to Rush". Yeah i m in such situation now. Dear and i have been trying hard to settle our ROM since June. We wish to clear all the preparations asap. Unfortunately and unexpectedly, we can only wait. I supposed planning 6 months ahead may be too early.

The most anxious waiting item will be the result of the ballot of Punggol Residences. Within 2 weeks, we had to make a decision on bidding. Its consider a rush for us as owning a home isn't in any of our plans yet. Yes.. now have to wait till Sept for the result. PRAY!!!

On this day, 5th August, the no. of applicants over 4 room units would be 2540:615. This also mean over 4.13 applicants, only 1 would get the unit. Pray i would be that "1". Haaa does this sound familiar? It has been my msn nick for these few days!

One less to worry - Invitation card is ready!! All thanks to jason for helping me =)

How did i get this idea? From a book cover @ Orchard Ion =) This wasn't the first draft. Had improved on it and became this form. Haa not done yet i guess, esp with the wordings. Might consider using own words instead of marriage vows.

This is actually known as "Text Art". Didnt know that. Was told by LL to search for it. It seems to originated from b&w ascii text. I believed most gamers know bout that. Commonly found on online guides.

Such art can be commonly found nowadays. That's how i got my inspiration (or i should say copy and improvise? lol). This also explains why winnie says my design looks like one of those popular notepad =p worse of all, jason (thanks hor) kept emphasizing and reminding me on msn!! Yeah yeah... kanna shoot by two designers... couple somemore!! Double arrow!! Better ask for medic!! oops... hes the medic... lol

So whats the lesson learn on Designing??

Dear and i were crazy on Sunday. Went to many places to take pics and have her fav sweet potato snack at Maxwell Market.

BUT our main objective is to go take a pic at Marina Barrage. Reason? When dear was doing research using mags on our wedding, we saw a nice pic of a couple in the center of the SG flyer. It was quite beautiful due to the lights of the flyer surrounding the couple.

The above is the pic we took. I believed its this spot!! LOL!! Wasted... we never had a chance to take it at night... It seems like going to rain soon... WASTED!!!

Btw we took not only this pic. I took alot of dear pics on that day. Some pics of pple flying kites as well. BUT!!! My pc sucks... running LightRoom 2 has already killed my PC... Converting it is a chore! Haiz... dear i want a new PC!!!! =)

Destroyer!!

Yes!! I have destroy something in my house again!! This time is the ring bell cover.

After so many years, its time to change the battery. I wasn't able to remove the cover due to the thick coated paint. Tried using screw driver and swiss knife to scrap away the paint. I wasn't able to scrap the bottom of the cover due to the main power point. So in e end, i decided to just bent and pull it out.

That bent, due to too much strength, cracked half of the cover... Yes. Jackson did it again! lol.

I got a solution! Since the battery last so long, by using paint, i can seal it back again! haaaa

Dear and i have finally set the date of our ROM - 2nd Jan 2010. If its in numeric it will be 02012010. A mirror of the day and month and u will get the year. Haaa. Just coincidence la...

After doing so much research on all the outdoor venue, dear still prefer the one at Swissotel... Somehow i think its fated...

Swiss is having a wedding showcase just right on the wkend when we started doing our search. Pure Luck!
We always pass by this cafe just right beside the bridge of clarke quay and it was always filled with pple! Always wanted to try it. Haa. Didnt realised till last sunday that it was the cafe we will have our lunch after the ceremony. Pure concidence!
Fated? nah doesnt matter =)

Now i will be busy SAVING MONEY!! So no plans to spend money on outings... For this melvin said i m becoming a responsible hubby... weird hor?
Will also be busy going to the bridal studio to try out the ROM gowns with Dear =) Will be posting nice pics soon!!

Bridal Studio

Yesterday was a scary experience!! Didnt expect bridal studio to have hardcore sales technique to grab sales!! Gosh!! That was real terrible..

As this is our first enquiry on bridal studio, we do not have any expectations on anything. Was met with a pleasant smile from this uncle and auntie, telling us all his goodies and saying theirs has the best and cheapest deals. Once we are seated, it was HELL !!!

Yesterday, is a day to remember. Not becos its the debut of Transformer: Revenge of the Fallen, neither its due to the sucky ending of Hot Shot, nor how Jason taught me the hold hand thingy ( i stil rem!!)...

Its the day I asked for dear's hand from her parents... And i have succeeded =)

It seems her parents had read my mind, awaiting for me that night. That makes me even more nervous. My head went blank and the still air making me breathless... This situation is very familar to me... its the same fear when i am having presentation or when i m the MC of the night...

"We are going to get married next year .........." says me. Seconds passed and there isnt any response... Those seconds was years at that moment!! My heart was beating faster and faster, awaiting anxiously...

"You guys are grown up, its time as well." These words from her father, was the only words i rem at that moment... they are also the green light, the stepping stone of a new family =)

Anniversary Surprise

Have you ever wonder why your gf takes such a long time in toilet? Today i finally understand.

Dear gave a white lie to get me an anniversary present from havery norman. Though the present was wrapped, its easy to guess the hidden contents - LCD monitor. She told me its fragile and its something i wanted. At first i thought it was a puzzle due to its large size but it doesnt fit her hints. Next i thought of DSLR. It doesnt fit as well due to its large size and its not fragile. So the last would be LCD monitor. Haaa dear anxiety to look at my dumbness was drowned immediately.

The size of the monitor surprises me. Instead of the 20" monitor i wanted, it was 21.5", 1.5" bigger =) Dear put in alot of effort to get this monitor for me. She told me she called almost all of the courts outlet and other stores to look for the LCD monitor. She even spend money on net surfing and printouts of the LCD details. As the LCD is way too heavy and big for her, she almost fall while carrying it from level 3 to basement 1 to meet me.

Dear, thanks for this present. This post is written in memory of this day. This is to mark my appreciation of the efforts you put in.

One day, when we are old, we might forget every small little things we done for each other. This, will stays here forever, to mark your love for me.

This is the start of my lost journey in AMK Hub... I walked the whole level of basement 1 and yet, unable to find any clues of what she gave me.

"city bank" - nope.
Therefore i decided to call her again... instead of verifying her info, she gave me the same details... OK! I was thinking maybe i'm too tired and blur.. One more round
Someone should take a video of me at this moment... Look very lost...

This time round she called and said ".... [same details] except city chain" Since the last walk, i observed all the shops with regards to the word "city" and there isnt any!! I went to the directory and look for all the hints she gave

It seems like i have been MIA in real and virtual world. I rem my last to blog was on my trip to Tampiness One. In e end, it was being blog on my mind as a memory unit. Haaa.

So what have happened for the past few weeks / months? In fact, i dun really rem much as i was too busy during the weekdays on work. During wkends are family and gf days. I have not touched my games till today.

I do recall having a great time with my bro on bball and movies (Star Trek and Angels and Devils) not long ago. And i do rem yest watching man u winning the title league with my gf and bro at novena sq. Anything further, i dun really rem...

Today, i am finally alone. I seldom have such days for myself. And how i spent it? Finished Halo3, which i bought on friday night. Took me half a day to complete. Its real good! Its a pity that nope of my physical friends who owned 360 played such genre...

Ok. Time to go MIA =p

Rubik's Cube

I bought a challenging birthday gift for my bro this year - Rubik's cube. Its not the usual 3x3 cube which he owned (3-5 in total). I bought him the 5x5!! I bet he will loved it =)

He's very crazy over this cube in the past. One of his cubes was customized with pictures that has the feel of "da vinci"!! Passion is not a crime!! Haaa!!

I bought a 3x3 cube at the same time. Till now still couldn't solve it... Left with 4 corner cubes... Sighz... Not as smart as my bro... No matter how, i will TRY NOT to look into the solutions FOR NOW. LOL!!

My brain is aging... Running at O(N^2)... I think it requires a new update on my face detection algorithm. On my way home, while i was reading newspaper, a face popped right infront of me!

Lately been helping chin chai on his C++ assignment. I have been pondering over this Q - "Am i helping or harming him?".

This Q arises when Dear complained that i have completed his assignment instead of teaching and giving guidance. I can't answer this Q confidently... neither i can defend myself... Therefore i think the ans should be both...

When chin chai asked me for help, for e.g. "which part of my coding went wrong?" or "how to do this Q?", i will investigate, tell him the root of problem, and as well tried to solve it and send him the solution asap. I DID show him (guidance) and solve the problem for him as well (harm created!!). Yes.. its both, i know...

BUT... i am glad that he doesn't take my ans blindly =) At least, he did try to understand my codes and asked me when in doubts.

So ultimately, HELP weights more than HARM...

I must thanks chin chai for giving me this opportunity to learn C++ =)
In fact, this week I have been learning python as well... Snake Lang.. Shall be the next Harry Potter!!!

Dear Mission (Life-Long): Maxwell Market's Sweet Potato

Yes! Its a success this time. The shop was opened yesterday. Finally dear got the chance to enjoy her favourite snack. We bought a total of 10 - 8 pure sweet potato and 2 with peanut filling.

This time, I followed instructions from my bro to take 145 to Raffles City from Maxwell. I did. But... i forget to ask him where to alight... Haaa blur me. Dear trust my instinct. We dropped somewhere near Stamford Rd which is just a building to our destination.

This is the building right infront of our bus stop. I think its chijmes. Quite like the building structure, so took a photo =)

We went to Robinson straight to grab presents for dear colleague's baby shower. Selecting baby present is as well a headache. Looking at the price of each toys and clothings scared me away. A pair of cute Disney shoes cost 49.90! And I doubt it can last a year as baby grows very fast. Will parents willing to spend such money, even in such recession period? OF COS! I can still see parents shopping for them yesterday. Hmm this makes me wonder whether I will buy such shoes for my kids next time... Dear always said: "You will". Haaaa = p

Dear was crazy bout winning me on monopoly. At the same time, we were crazy over buying jenga to play. Haa we did!! Went to Toys'r'us at United Sq to get it. Cost us 12 bucks. Worth it =)

Dear gonna hate this game soon. Haaa cos she lost 11 - 3 to me!! Actually I am not that worried. She's got this attitude of "Heh, I must play till I WIN". Yeah that's my dear.

I kinda miss this day as in the past, this day seems nothing to me. During this period, i should be preparing my exams or still rushing for my project. So what bout this year?

Sama Sama.... I didn't get a chance to enjoy the whole day. Been busy working at home till evening. Gf was busy with her reborn and haircut near her aunt house. Talking bout her, i realised that i never enjoy with her on this day before. Indeed Good Friday =p

I thought i would be able to enjoy a good movie with my bro after dinner... But "Knowing" fails terribly... I quite like how the story builds up and all the graphics of the tragedy... However the last 10 mins destroy the movie, TOTALLY.

IMO, the whole story is saying bout the predictions of the bible and etc... I dun really like religous story...

And yes.. thats my "good" friday...

"Ting". My google talk alert me on new email. The address was from Tiger. My heart sank, though i have not read the contents.

Fortunately this time, its good news =) Tiger sent this email to apologize for their poor customer service and have reinstated my departure date on their system. I pray there wont be any more changes or any major delays...

I must really thank Tiger for giving me such an experience on my first overseas trip. Though it did brought me fears, anger and tons of trouble, its a good learning opportunity as well. Next time, i will try on different budget airline or normal airline and compare =) Typical Auntie? Haaaa

Canon IXUS 990 IS and Canon 500d

In few months time, my latest toy, Canon IXUS 980 IS, will be consider as old in the market. That is due to its new successor, Canon IXUS 990 IS will be released in 2nd quarter of this year. Thats fast!! I wonder what are the differences between the two. Though its sad to hear this news, i still love my camera. It enables me to take lots of great pics. But i still hope to get a DSLR even though i not sure whether i do really use and need it.

Talking bout DSLR, i am glad that i never buy 450d during the IT SHOW 2009!! Cos 500d is coming to the market soon!! 450d has proven to be good plus my boss has one as well. Saw his pics, indeed worthy. 500d should be good as well then, i hope. For now, must consult and convince my financial advisor, Piggy Dear =) In actual fact, i have to convince myself whether i need one as well.

Theres this struggling in the past on whether DSLR is a need or a want for me. It always seem to be more of "want" than a "need". Hopefully, it will eventually turn to a "need" when 500d arrives. Else Dear ears will have a hard time from me. Haaa cos whenever i take pics, i nag at her on getting a DSLR =)

Emails on the details of this worm, Conficker C has been circulating my office and personal email yesterday. Looks serious to me. I not sure how many people do know bout this. Therefore i decided to write on my blog to spread awareness on this virus.

I used mcafee free scanner, Stinger to scan on all the variants of this virus. It caused me to fall asleep while waiting for it to finish scanning, I not sure how good this scanner is but at least its from reputable AV company and its free as well.

Someone is singing this song while i am working on the MRT during my way home. I'm not sure what's the title of this song. I only knew its in the latest album of Fahrenheit. His singing reminds me of Jason. Not because this guy sings well, it was jason voice that rings in my head when i heard the rhythm of the song. I still rem it was the first song jason sang during our first KTV session. I think i was mesmerized by his voice on this song. Dear also agree with me.

Meilian was right bout jason voice. He sound like an pop idol esp hes handsome as well. Its indeed true that life is unfair. Hes a good example. Having the looks with a good vocal and his charm has led him married with a pretty wife. Damn unfair!! lol =)

Simply Wonderful

Waking up to find your loved one beside you is simply wonderful. This is how i felt during the morning. Dear fills my weekend with love. Though we did not do much during these two days, i enjoyed alot. Sometimes i do have to agree with the lyrics of a song that says "When you are in loved, everyday is vday". Felt it this weekend =)

Today is another great day. We went to maxwell market for Dear fav sweet potato. However the stall is closed. Dear was disappointed. No choice. This stall has no fixed operating days nor hours. Weird esp during such recession period. Shall try our luck in 2 weeks time =)

Found this authentic chinese shops that sells traditional chinese furniture and stuff along the streets of chinatown. Saw a few nice design of tradition wedding teapots and cups selling for 88 bucks. They do sell lacquered plated guest book for 38. Thinking of getting them for my future tradition chinese wedding. Haa still long way though.

For these two days, i been making mistakes on where the bus would lead us to. Today i wanted to go to Raffles City, instead the bus took us further to Marina Square. Dear suggest we go bowling since we are already here. So we landed ourself there with anxiety as the last time we bowled was few years ago.

Bowling on wii was Dear fav game and a game i hate most!! Never been able to win Dear lor. TODAY!! 3 rounds of ACTUAL BOWLING shows a different side of story! Won Dear 2 out of 3 games!! Yes!!! This time i got pictures to prove i won Dear le!! Haaaa. Almost lost in actual fact. If you observed 2nd match closely, her last threw missed. Haaaa else i won't be able to be cocky of my winnings!! =p Dear also made the same mistake like in Wii. She dropped her ball !!! That was damn hilarious!! Haaaa thinking of it still makes me LOL.

Two days of wrong destination brought us tons of fun and surprises. Fated? Maybe. In actual fact, due to these mistakes by me has fulfilled Dear's wishlist of this weekends (except Sweet Potato). Planned? Haaaa =)

Must really thanks Dear for accompany me this weekend. Arigatou Piggy Dear. Sorry to snatch your blanket and push u aside while sleeping. I really have no idea on all these happenings as i sleep like a pig wor. Next time, as you said, we try sleeping on the floor with two mattress. Then such things will less likely to happen, hopefully =p

Simple Saturday

Today went out with dear to many places. Finally tried subway breakfast with dear at TP. The experience was very different from NTU. Servings and Breakfast Bread choice are different as well. However, the Taste is still as good =)

Bugis was our next stop. Going there for prayers and buy bag for her sis. Saw a guy being stopped by officers from taking pictures in the temple. Lucky to learn that from example. Reminds me not to take pictures of temples in my thailand trip.

We went to the new shopping mall, right beside Bugis Street. Took a pic with the Coffee Bean Mascot. Tried their Vanilla Coffee. Taste good! Its alot better than the $1 sugar cane in bugis street. Btw, the mall is very empty. Not worth going for now.

A crazy couple spent roughly 8 bucks on catching baby taz soft toy in bugis arcade. Haaa thats us!! Catching it is easy. However when it grips up, it shakes and it sure drop. 8 drops out of 8 catches!! Haaaa. Was fun though =)

Our next destination is to selegie to have my dear fav cold soya bean curd. Be4 that, we were stopped by the sight of harley davidson. Not one, but a line of them! I think they are promoting some sort of event. Haa i took a pic of pretty gers!! One of the rider was my bball friend. Talking bout that, i met alot of friends today. Johnson in Bugis Mall, Ah boy at Food court and Kelvin, one of the riders.

Best of all, we took 175 and missed the DG stop. In e end, we stopped at orchard. Went to find Jason for a chat. In e end, i bought a baby G for my dear. We were so convinced by Jason that the alarm of the watch is song of SHE. But it was a LIE!!! Haaa. Simple minded couple =) Must thanks Jason for helping and giving us such a good price =)

Man hunt was being held at the same time. Its a nice event for guys. Why? Man hunt are meant for gers to look at. Which also means guys can look at pretty gers at the same time!! Haaaa!! Prove? Observe Jason =) Haaaa!!

After we had our dinner, played dear fav board game, monopoly. I really hate this game!! Her luck is that good that i lost 8 out of 9 games. After tonight, it is 8/10 !!! I won!! Sweet Revenge!!

Now shes lying on my bed Zzzzzz already. Never even leave a space for me!!! Piggy dear. Thats also y i have the chance to write this blog now =) K la. Time to wake her up for some desserts =)

Gifts are "meaningful"

When i was in army, i received my first perfume gift from hui yi. I still rem it was specially meant for me. Haaa theres a reason why we are called chao recruit. Chao is more of a hokkien word which means smelly. Indeed meaningful gift =)

Today my gf bought me two gifts as well. So whats the meaning behind all these gifts? Let's try to analyze.

1.) Ear Piece

My current ear piece connector had became loose which resultant in only left in working condition. Replacement makes sense =) Meaning? Gf cares bout me =)

2.) Piggy Bank

Saving is not a habbit of mine. Spending is more like me. Haaa. So this gift does makes alot of sense. Late than never =) I guess gf hopes that i can start learning to save. Dear i have saved 95cents le!! Haaaa

Wednesday evening: Tiger send another email to inform system error. Departure date will be as booked.

To make it worst, the hotline provided by Tiger was a dead line. Getting it retrieved is almost impossible as i have tried at least 50 calls just to get one. Once connected, i was left waiting and listening to its music and its praise of best budget airline for 50 mins. No operator to pick up my call yet.... That really sucks. I wonder how SG is going to achieve good service award with such a service from the best budget airline...

So what will happen next? I really have no idea... I have fears if they keep changing my date and crash with my ICT on 11th. I pray not.

Though all these happen, I am fortunate to have great service provided by Wendy Guest House. Her understanding has enabled me to book my room for 4 nights (just in case, Tiger make changes to 10th again) and has the ability to switch to 3 nights on arrival. Good service!! I hope this continues during my stay.

So for now, i have booked my flight and my accommodation. Bangkok here we come!! Haaa though still early to say, my gf and i were anxious and excited !!

Double Date

"Gosh! OMG! Whao! Yes!" These are the actual words running inside my head when jason starts to sing in our first double date. It was fascinating. I finally understand what mei lian (jason's aunt, was my colleague once) told me. She said "Jason sounds like a singer". Indeed its true and its a fact. Bro, dun deny anymore =)

Usually i am very shy when it comes to singing with someone the first time. Yesterday was okay. I am glad as i worried this affects future double date with them. Enjoyed alot esp it was quite some time i went to ktv.

Its a waste that winni didnt sing much. Hasnt had a chance to listen to her individually. Its also a waste that my gf dun sing!!! Btw u guys had the honour as this is the first time she sings infront of pple other than me alone. Haaa though i believed its very soft, i am happy shes taking the first step. Thanks to you guys =) Dear GAMBATE!!!

Bangkok on process

For these past three years, we have been to chalets/resorts/hotel numerous time to celebrate our anniversary. This year will be different. We are planning to make a trip to overseas to celebrate this special day. Yes... Finally..i know.

Dear was so crazy over this trip as she had tried all means to persuade me to travel together in the past. Yes a dream come true for both of us.

Bangkok will be our first destination for overseas holiday!! Planning is still on progress. I plan to get the tickets and accommodation by next weekend. I supposed one week will be more than enough to confirm the areas to stay and sight seeing. Hopefully =)

Its not easy to influence someone to do something they do not like. It took me quite some time and effort to get my gf interested in playing games. Though now she only play her wii, i am still glad i could bring her nearer to my world of joy. I guess thats the power of love =)

Her favourite game - wii sports: bowling. Shes so enthu on that game till it scares me away! Her best record is 8 consecutive strikes . Due to the wii console is now at my house, her skill has dropped to novice. Gambate my dear! Hope to see u at pro level soon =)

Today my gf and i met up with jason for dinner. Wanted to get prata but was denied due to insufficient of prata man. What a waste! In e end all 3 musketeers grab curry chicken nasi brani... I m ok with that. Only prob lies with gf... shes here just for the prata. Is it really that good? I would say not that bad =) But do note, ordering prata at busy period will led to "have to wait around for 20 mins hor" said by the counter. Its a norm, which i hate most.

After food, we went for a chat at Coffee bean. It was quite some time since we 3 gather to chat. The last i rem was after his ROM, where he treated us at New York *2. I really loved chatting with him. We two are more like females in some aspect which might be the reason that led us to this close bro r/s =) Plus my gf is so call his "sister". Haaa this reminds me of the wonderful working days in Hisatomo. Argh... i really miss those days. Yes i know... i should always look forward and not backward. Trumpet Flower

Recently, the green patch of NTU are filled with fallen flowers of pink and white. These flowers are known as Trumpet Flower (correct me if i m wrong). Its quite a scene. I myself enjoyed looking at it every morning. I was told that this is seasonal. You wont be able to see it everyday.

Its a waste that i couldnt capture the beauty of it thro my novice photography skill. Nevertheless, i hope pple would learn to appreciate their surrounding environment with my effort =) Enjoy!

Hungry Pig'S'

In my gf's opinion, i resemble a pig as i love to eat and sleep... but now i can officially add a "s" behind it - pigS. Nowadays she eat even more than me. Though not always, at least most of the case! I not sure whether is due to hunger or due to her favourite food. I guess both plays a big factor.

POLICE!!

"I call police if you dun del my photo!!" warned by an uncle, after i took a photo of him cycling towards me. I was actually learning to take moving objects using slower shutter speed. I wasnt angry of his reaction. Was just abit shock though. Haaa in e end i showed him my intention and of cos del his photo. I also dun wanna get into any stupid trouble.

Lesson learn =) Get a DSLR in future with a further zoom!! Haaa =)

GP Recyko Value Pack

If you wanna buy GP Recyko, TRY NOT TO BUY the value pack!! It, consist of a charger and 4 AA batteries, is the cheapest among the packages with charger. The charger model is AR01, which requires consumer to charge 14 hrs for full charge.

Long hours of charging is one of the reason not to buy. The main reason lies with the charger indicator. In usual charger, the indicator will show diff colours to indicate the status of charge. However, for this case, it always light up green, regardless of fully charged or still charging... It also means even after 14 hrs, its still charging!! This will only spoil the batteries and WASTE MY ELECTRICITY!!

I called GP and they told me thats how it works and its also stated in the instruction manual in the box and online too. I dun understand why they would create such a product, especially when their 2 and 6 hr charger does function "intelligently"!! Worse, GP has a history on rechargable batteries and their chargers. My old charger, 4 years old, is even "smarter" =)

I still hope GP or someone could tell me why they would create such a charger.... Does value pack means inclusion of "out-dated" charger? Only GP knoes....

Nor Angel Nor Devil

With regards to previous post, neither the angel nor the devil won the war! The angel fails to persuade me with the total saving plans while the devils fails on DSLR. In fact, it was the "Out Of Stock" pressure that led me to Canon Ixus 980 IS, Black, PnS camera.

For the whole weekend, sales of cameras were HOT!! Most of the entry level DSLRs (e.g. Sony a200, 300, 350, Canon 450d) and Consumer cameras were sold out within 2-3 hours. Luckily my bro was early. He managed to get my aunt her camera, giving her the only choice of green ixus 95 IS.

Till now, i do still have bits of regrets of not getting a DSLR. Maybe down the road, 3-4 years time, the war will be rekindled =) i pray not though....

Devil? Angel? or Me?

Decisions, decisions and more decisions... I am not very decisive recently... Or since that particular day when the word "i" became "we". Still trying to get used to "consider" and not the "Yes! this is it" thingy... Things does change around. Be it good or bad, thats the way i have to accept, and i gladly do =)

I am still considering on whether i should get a DSLR or a SEMI-PRO... or maybe even a new camera, since my current is still working fine. HARD DECISION...

And as i have approached friends and promoters (be it "professional" photographers) on this Q, e angel and devil starts to fight on my shoulder, having me suffering in the war of arguments.

So, should i listen to my angel or devil? We shall see bout it soon... Soon refers to end of IT SHOW 2009 =)
